JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The North Florida basketball team plays its regular season home finale Saturday in UNF Arena against ETSU at 7 p.m.
The Ospreys (14-14, 8-7 ASun) enter Saturday's game in a tightly contested battle with ETSU (16-13, 9-7) for the fourth and final hosting spot for the upcoming conference quarterfinal round. UNF, ETSU and Lipscomb are all within a game of each other for the coveted position.
Saturday's game marks the final home appearance for the Osprey's senior class of Charles McRoy and Travis Wallace. The UNF duo, who became the winningest class in program history following last week's victory over rival Jacksonville, will be recognized in a pre-game ceremony.
UNF looks to rebound from a disappointing loss Thursday night against USC Upstate. Against the Spartans, McRoy led a quartet of double digits scorers finishing with 15 points.
The Bucs also enter the match-up following a loss, as ETSU dropped a 91-86 decision at JU on Thursday.
Saturday's game marks the 19th all-time meeting between UNF and ETSU with the Buccaneers holding a 16-2 advantage in the series. East Tennessee State has claimed five of the last six matchups including a 99-93 victory earlier this season. The Ospreys posted a 77-64 win in the pair's meeting last season at UNF Arena.
