JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The University of North Florida women's tennis team will head south for their first road matches of the 2013 campaign this weekend, as they travel to face No. 10 Miami and Nova Southeastern.
The Ospreys are fresh off a 7-0 trouncing of Bethune-Cookman last Saturday, a thorough home victory that propelled senior Lorena Aviles to her second career Atlantic Sun Women's Tennis Player of the Week award.
The Miami Hurricanes, UNF's opponent at 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, were ranked 10th overall in this week's ITA Women's Team Rankings. Miami brings a flawless 4-0 record into this weekend, having defeated No. 56 Hawaii (7-0) and No. 35 Arizona State (4-3) last week in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend.

Nova Southeastern will open their 2013 season this weekend, but will have a match under its belt when they host UNF at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
The Sharks enter this year's campaign at the No. 16 spot in the ITA National DII Preseason Rankings, and check in at No. 6 in the South Region. Sophomore Alexandra Johannson also checks in on the national singles rankings, coming in at No. 37.
