
Busy Week for #MBB Opens Monday at Home with Edward Waters

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The North Florida basketball team opens a stretch of three games in six days Monday against in-town foe Edward Waters at UNF Arena at 7 p.m. Walgreen's is the game sponsor on Monday night.
The Ospreys (4-4) look to return to their winning ways after falling 99-64 at No. 7 Ohio State on Friday. In it's last home appearance, UNF made program history scoring a Division I record 109 points against Webber International and winning by a DI record 45-point margin (109-64).
Senior Travis Wallace leads a trio of Osprey players scoring in double figures at 12.5 points a game. Freshman Dallas Moore, who has reached double digits in each of the last three games, is averaging 11.3 PPG, while sophomore Beau Beech is at 10.9 points a contest. Wallace is also pacing UNF on the glass, pulling down 7.4 rebounds a game.
Edward Waters comes into Monday's tilt with a 5-4 record. The Tigers are averaging 74.4 points a game as a team with almost one-third of those points coming from leading scorer Antonio Valiente at 23.6 points per game.
Monday's meeting marks the 16th all-time game between the Ospreys and Tigers with UNF owning a 12-3 advantage. North Florida has claimed the last four match-ups including a 79-65 win in the season-opener last year. UNF is 11-1 all-time at home against Edward Waters.
