JACKSONVILLE – The North Florida basketball team closes out its current three-game home stand against Webber International, Thursday at 7 p.m. in UNF Arena.
The Ospreys (2-3) look to build on their hard fought 66-63 victory Monday night over Savannah State. Against the Tigers, UNF converted 32 of 39 free throw attempts to remain perfect at home (8-0) all-time against SSU. Sophomore Beau Beech hit 12-of-13 free throws on his way to a career best 19 point performance to lead the UNF attack.
Webber (1-5) snapped a five-game losing skid in their last game, earning their first win of the season with an 81-73 victory over Florida National University.
The Ospreys and Warriors will be meeting for the third time on the hardwood with the team's having split the first two meetings. The pair last met 20 years ago at UNF Arena on Dec. 18, 1993, as UNF claimed a 115-80 victory.
Junior Travis Wallace leads the Ospreys in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 13.6 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Beech is also averaging double-digit points at 11.6 per contest. Seven different players have connected on a three-pointer for UNF so far this season.
Thursday's game has been designated as "Rotary Night", with all Rotary Club members with ID having the opportunity to buy tickets for $4.

Single game men's ticket prices are $12 Reserved (Sec. 5-14), $10 Adults, $8 (Youth 17-under, Senior Citizens 55+, Active Military, UNF Faculty/Staff), UNF students with valid Osprey1 card and children under 2 are free. UNF students may also purchase one student guest pass for $5. For further ticket information check the UNF Athletic website: www.unfospreys.com.

Following the game with Webber, North Florida is slated to play five of its next six games on the road beginning with a rematch with Savannah State on Tuesday, Nov. 26 in Savannah. The Ospreys lone home game in the stretch is Dec. 2 against Edward Waters.
