
Ospreys Host ETSU in Final January Home Game

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida basketball team closes its brief two-game home stand Monday at 7 p.m. against Atlantic Sun Conference rival ETSU at UNF Arena. The game is UNF's last home game in the month of January.
The Ospreys (9-10, 3-3 ASun) seek to get back on the winning track after dropping their last two games including Saturday night against USC Upstate, just the second home loss of the year. ETSU (9-7, 4-2) owns a current four-game win streak following a 72-58 victory at Jacksonville on Saturday afternoon.
Monday's game marks the 13th all-time meeting between UNF and ETSU on the hardwood. The Bucs own an 11-1 lead in the series with the Ospreys having earned their first win in the last meeting, a 59-55 decision in the semifinals of last year's A-Sun Tournament.
Parker Smith leads a quartet of UNF players in double digits averaging 11.9 points per game. Smith is coming off a 16-point performance against Upstate. Jerron Granberry averages 10.4 ppg followed by Travis Wallace (10.2 ppg) and Andy Diaz (10.1). Wallace, who has posted double figures in four straight games, also tops the squad with 5.1 rebounds per contest.
