
UNF Set to Host Charlotte

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida women's tennis team will host Atlantic 10 opponent Charlotte on Sunday, March 6 starting at 11 a.m. at the UNF Tennis Complex.
UNF (3-2) is coming off 4-3 win over East Tennessee State University in the team's last match. The Ospreys claimed the doubles point early and followed that up with wins in three singles matches as juniors Aline Berkenbrock and Danielle Day claimed wins along with freshman Simona Weymar.
Berkenbrock got back on the court for the first time in dual play after being sidelined with injury earlier in the season, she moves to 1-0 at the No.1. Day improves to 4-1 and played in the No. 2 after starting the season at No. 1. Weymar also moved to 4-1 on the season.
The 49ers (8-6) are coming off a 7-0 shut-out over UNC Asheville in their last match. Charlotte was picked to finish sixth in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll. The 49ers return First Team All-Conference selection Andrea Rivera. Charlotte's top doubles team of Rivera and Alexandra Zinn are 12-1 during spring.
Following Sunday's match, the Ospreys will remain at home to host Penn on Wednesday, March 9 at 2 p.m. at the UNF Tennis Complex.
