
UNF Softball Falls to Bethune-Cookman

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – In the bottom of the fifth inning Bethune-Cookman's Cesley Tofoya hit a three-run home run against the University of North Florida softball team in a six-run fifth inning, defeating the Ospreys 6-3 in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The Ospreys (23-25, 9-7 A-Sun) led through 4.5 innings entering the bottom of the fifth inning with a 3-0 advantage until the Wildcats were able to string together six runs off of five hits.
Before entering the bottom of the fifth inning, senior pitcher Devyn Findley was pitching a no-hitter, sitting down 12 batters in a row. After being relieved by sophomore Shaina Dent in the fifth (L, 6-12), Findley was charged with four runs on four hits on the night.
Bethune-Cookman's (23-21) Chastity Sanders (W, 7-8) tossed five innings allowing three runs on six hits, which allowed her to pick up the seventh win of the season.
