
UNF Softball Heads To Winthrop Tournament

UNF (8-14) has played well of late, winning five of their last six games after splitting a double header with
Freshman Jackie Reese is batting .500 over the past seven games after her three home run weekend. Overall, junior first base man Caroline Torre leads the team with a batting average of .294 and also leads the team with 14 RBI after tying the first Memphis game with a home run.
Senior left-handed pitcher Devyn Findley evened her record at 7-7 with five strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings pitched against the Tigers. In the Atlantic Sun Conference, Findley is tied for fourth in wins and seventh in ERA (1.85) and strikeouts (113).
The Ospreys open tournament play at 10 a.m. on Saturday vs.
The Hornets currently carry a team batting average of .390, with six players hitting above .300. Infielder Tawney Reeger leads the team in batting average (.517), hits (15) and RBI (11). Rachel Carroll (.440), Janelle Lukens (.441) and Breanne Parr (.400) all have maintained their batting average at .400 or better.
After Delaware State, the Ospreys face host
Eagles pitcher Cari Wooldridge was named to the All-Tournament Team, after tossing a complete game, allowing one run and scattering eight hits with no walks and seven strikeouts. She is 5-4 on the year.
