
Hot Shooting Pushes North Florida Past Campbell, 74-48

The Ospreys improve to 10-19 overall and 7-13 in Atlantic Sun play, while
Junior guard Juliemay Syquio led the Ospreys with 15 points. Sophomore guard Brittany Kirkland tallied 14 points, while freshman forward Jadhken Kerr posted 12 points off four 3-pointers. Both seniors had strong performances in their final regular season game as forward Arlande Cherizol grabbed a game-high seven rebounds, while posting six points, and center Shennette Sheffiled tallied nine points and six rebounds.
“I think it's huge for our confidence moving into next week's conference tournament,” said head coach Mary Tappmeyer. “We got to send our seniors out in style. I thought we did some really good things defensively in the first half. I'm really proud we held them to four made field goals in the second half. We did what we needed to do and I thought we got production from everybody. Everyone scored and rebounded which I was happy to see.”
UNF came out firing in the first half, jumping out to a 17 point lead (29-12) midway through the half. The Ospreys took their largest lead of the half into the break, on top by 22 (46-22) at the intermission.
The Ospreys remained ahead by 20 or more points throughout the second half and took their largest lead of the game, up 32 (58-26), at the 15:43 mark.
