LADY OSPREY SOFTBALL WEEKLY

The University of North Florida softball team (13-15, 3-1 A-Sun) faces one if its toughest stretches of the season when its hosts a pair of ranked opponents before welcoming Brown to the UNF Softball Complex.

The Lady Ospreys will look to cool down a red hot Florida Gulf Coast squad that will head to town with a 22-game winning streak. The Eagles will come into Saturday's doubleheader ranked 18^th in the nation. One of FGCU's 30 wins this season came at the expense of the Lady Ospreys at the USF Louisville Slugger Tournament in Tampa, Fla. FGCU won that game 4-0.

UNF and Florida State will meet for the first time since the 2007 season, with FSU making its first trip to the UNF campus. The Seminoles came into this week ranked 22^nd in the nation and own a 2-0 record against the Lady Ospreys.

UNF will bring its own winning streak into the weekend, capturing its last four games. UNF defeated both Charleston Southern and Kent State last weekend before sweeping a doubleheader at conference foe East Tennessee State earlier this week.
