JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- The Ospreys go into a week of hard training following some spectacular successes in their first home track meet, the Spring Break Open. Brooke Baumann's first place 800m run, Will Pearce's second-place finish in the 1500m and a total of five new records for the team opened the outdoor track season on the right foot. The Ospreys next meet will cut their spring break a little short as they head to the FSU Relays next Thursday.

Brooke Baumann ran with a time of time of 2:18.51 to earn the first-place title in the women's 800m run … Charisma Anderson was a star in the sprints, beating her own school record with her third-place 100m dash of 12.24s, taking third in the 200m dash and coming in fourth as part of a 4x400m relay team with Kayla Conrad, Evelyn Moore and SaLydia James …

Will Pearce had the highest placement of any Osprey Saturday, taking second in the 1500m ... Anne DelBovo set a new UNF record for her third place, 11-1 pole vault, a full 5 inches higher than the previous record … Ashton McGuire placed third overall in the javelin throw with a distance of 38.87m … Anne Delbovo led the record breaking team in the 4x100m with fellow runners, SaLydia James, Keva Stephens, and Anderson, passing the baton to a fourth place finish … Noah Thompson reached new heights in the men's pole vault, recording 4.30 meters and receiving fifth place ... assistant women's track coach Mike Brown took fifth in the javelin throw, an event he holds several world records in for his age group.
