COLUMBIA, S.C. – University of North Florida junior Kara Rutenbar hit a walk-off home run to give the Lady Osprey softball team a come from behind victory against Tennessee-Chattanooga to close out the Gamecock Invitational Sunday.

All seven of the runs in the contest came via the long ball with Rutenbar and Ashley Battaglia each going deep for UNF (5-13).

The Lady Ospreys finished the tournament 1-3, playing three one-run games over the weekend.

Devyn Findley (1-8) received the win for the Lady Ospreys after giving up a three-run home run in the top of the first inning and not giving up another run the rest of the way.

Battaglia got UNF on the board in the bottom of the third inning with a two-run home run that made it a 3-2 contest. That's where it stood until the bottom of the seventh when Battaglia reached with a one out base hit. Rutenbar stepped to the plate a batter later and sent everyone home with her first round-tripper of the year.

The walk-off home run was the first of her career.

UNF is back in action next weekend when it heads to Ole Miss for a three-day tournament beginning Friday.
