
UNF Heads to East Tennessee State

GAME NOTES
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida women's basketball team will travel to East Tennessee State University on Saturday, Dec. 5, for its second Atlantic Sun contest of the season. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. at the Memorial Center.
UNF (1-5, 0-1 A-Sun) is looking to pick up its first A-Sun win of the season after falling to Campbell in the conference opener. The Ospreys are led by sophomore guard Brittany Kirkland at 12 points per game. Junior guard Juliemay Syquio is adding 9.3 points per game while freshman forward Jadhken Kerr is tallying eight points per game. Senior forward Arlande Cherizol is pulling down 8.3 boards per game.
The Bucs (2-3, 0-0 A-Sun) are coming off a win over Hawaii in the Rainbow Wahine Classic. ETSU has four players averaging double figures. TaRonda Wiles is leading at 19.2 points per game. Siarre Evans is adding 17.4 points per game while pulling down 11.2 rebounds per game. Tara Davis and Tarita Gordon are notching 10.6 and 10.2 points per game, respectively.
ETSU holds a 5-2 advantage over UNF in the all-time series. The two teams split last season with each winning on its respective home court. The Bucs picked up the 56-42 win in Johnson City, Tenn. last season while UNF had the 80-73 victory in Jacksonville. Kirkland averaged 13 points in the two games against the Bucs, while Syquio averaged 9.5.
