TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The University of North Florida women's basketball team opened up the 2009-10 season on the road with a 79-50 loss at the hands of No. 12/15 Florida State on Friday, Nov. 13, at the Donald L. Tucker Center in Tallahassee, Fla.
“We didn't play well in the first half, but we went into the locker room and talked about making the second half our second game of the season,” UNF head coach Mary Tappmeyer stated after the game. “We came out and played a lot better in the second half. When you are a young team and you come out and you make shots it helps your mindset and shows you can score against that caliber of team.”
