UNF set for double dual with C of C, FAMU
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida women's swimming and diving team will look to extend its Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association dual meet win streak to six when it takes on College of Charleston and Florida A&M in a double dual at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the UNF Aquatic Center.
The Lady Ospreys are coming off a very competitive showing against UNC Wilmington last Saturday at the UNF Aquatic Center. UNF dropped the meet, 149-138, to the Seahawks, who came into the meet ranked 17th in the CollegeSwimming.com Mid Major Poll.
Despite the dual loss, the Lady Ospreys had several standout performances. Sophomore Lyn Ann Nelson snagged three of UNF's eight first-place finishes with top showings in the 1000-free (10:33.99), 200-free (1:56.29) and 100-free (54.67).
Sophomore Patricia Lanoue bested her top season time in the 200-butterfly, clocking in at 2:12.35 en route to a first-place finish. She also tried her hand at diving in the 1-meter competition for the first time in her college career and finished second.
Senior diver Emily Eisenhower just missed the NCAA Zone qualifying cut in the 1 and 3- meter competitions but did take first in both events. She has now recorded at least one first-place finish in four-straight duals and now has 18 career first-place showings.
