Lady Ospreys split on day two in Boca

The win was part of a two-game split, as UNF (1-3) lost its second game of the day, falling to
UNF scored three unearned runs in the opening inning of play against UMass, giving Devyn Findley (1-1) all she would need to wrap up her first win of the season.
Findley earned the victory after surrendering two earned runs on five hits to go along with 10 strikeouts, the second most in her career.
Kacie McCloud started the first inning rally for the Lady Ospreys, reaching on a single to center field. Kara Rutenbar found her way on base one batter later when she was hit with a pitch. Those two came around to score thanks to a Minuteman error. Ashley Battaglia finally wrapped up the inning with an RBI single that scored Gwen Williams.
UMass countered with a pair of runs in the fourth inning, but Findley was able to work her way out a jam and leave a runner stranded on third to end the UMass threat.
Findley only allowed two more hits the rest of the way and retired the final four batters of the game to seal the win.
UNF collected four hits in the game, with Rutenbar, Williams, Bataglia and McCloud earning the base hits.
The Lady Ospreys gave up two unearned runs in the second game and couldn't avoid a five-run rally by the Terrapins in the bottom of the third. That rally proved to be all the offense the Terps would need.
Tori Ahern (0-2) suffered the loss after allowing six runs – four earned – on seven hits. Joanna Kurycki finished the final three innings for UNF, allowing one earned run on three hits with a strikeout.
Heather Hyde had the only base hit of the game for the Lady Ospreys, who will close out play in
