The University of North Florida women's basketball team will fight a pair of battles on Monday night when they host Gardner-Webb in an Atlantic Sun Conference game.
Along with taking on the Runnin' Bulldogs, UNF will also do its part in supporting the Women's Basketball Coaches Association fight against breast cancer. The WBCA's Think Pink program started last season and is supported by women's basketball teams throughout the NCAA.
Every fan dressed in pink at Monday's game will receive free admission.
UNF (9-11, 4-4 A-Sun) is looking to bounce back from a 68-48 loss to Campbell on Saturday and is also looking to avoid its first losing streak at home this season. Jennifer Bowen led the Lady Ospreys against Campbell, scoring 15 points to go along with a team-high six rebounds. That wasn't enough, however, to get past a Campbell squad that shot 54 percent from the field. The Camels were only the second team to score at least 60 points against UNF in a conference game this season.
Gardner-Webb (8-13, 4-4 A-Sun) is trying to bounce back from an 84-53 loss at Jacksonville on Saturday. The Runnin' Bulldogs hit only six shots from the field in the second half against the Dolphins and shot 27 percent for the game.
The Runnin' Bulldogs came into the week averaging 67.4 points a game, and shooting .413 from the field, both of which ranked second in the A-Sun.

Quoting Coach Tappmeyer: “Gardner-Webb is young and very athletic. They have been very good at times this year and they are like a lot of the teams in this conference. A lot of the teams have young players and on any given night they can beat you.”
Gameday Notables: Three lucky students will have the chance to make a halfcourt shot at intermission for $240.
