
Ospreys sink to Cambell after heavy rain

UNF hosts Mercer on Saturday at 7 p.m.
“The field certainly was not in ideal soccer condition,” UNF head coach Ray Bunch said. “But both teams played on the same field and faced the same difficulties.”
UNF (5-6-0, 2-1-0) took six shots on goal while
“We made a mistake and they capitalized on it,” Bunch said. “They deserve the credit for taking advantage of the situation. I felt that with the conditions that were present the first to score would have the edge. It forced us to attack, which was made more difficult by the water on the field.”
In the second half, trailing by one goal, the Ospreys seemed to control the field and be en route to scoring the equalizer when, in the 72nd minute,
“When you are committed to attacking the way we were toward the end of the match, you become very susceptible to a counter-attack,” Bunch said. “They made the same play twice, and it worked for them both times.”
The Ospreys stay home to continue A-Sun play on Saturday when Mercer makes its way to Hodges Stadium for a 7 p.m. match.
