BOCA RATON, Fla. - Despite out-hitting Florida Atlantic and getting strong performances from its starting pitcher, the University of North Florida baseball team dropped a 4-2 non-conference game on Tuesday night at FAU Stadium.

UNF (15-25) received six solid innings from redshirt freshman RHP Jonathan Turner, who struck out a career-high eight batters and allowed three runs on six hits in the loss. The Ospreys out hit the Owls 10-9 and were led at the plate by sophomore center fielder Brian Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Junior third baseman Chad Knight went 1-for-2 with an RBI.

The Ospreys were able to tie the game at two after falling behind 2-0 in the bottom of the first. UNF began the comeback in the top of the fourth when Wilson's double drove in senior James Belyea. Belyea led off the inning with a single. Knight's RBI sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth knotted the game. Junior Andy Warren, who got the start at first base, was able to score on the play after he led off the inning with a double.

But the Owls, who took their first lead in the bottom of the first when Robbie Widlansky hit a two-run home run down the left field line, reclaimed the lead on another homer - this time on a solo shot by Justin Martin.

UNF wasn't able to come up with the clutch hits in the last three innings, collecting just one hit. The Ospreys left eight runners on base.
