The Lady Ospreys are coming off a home win against Southeastern Louisiana on Dec. 8. UNF put forth its best defensive effort of the season in the win, allowing SE Louisiana only 11 field goals in a 51-37 victory. The two-headed point guard fixture of Shandrea Moore and Juliemay Syquio were keys to the win. Moore led all players with 13 points to go along with four assists. Syquio followed her with 12 points, four assists and five steals.
Syquio currently ranks sixth in the Atlantic Sun Conference, averaging 2.5 steals per game.
NorfolkState comes into the tournament on a four-game losing streak, while Wofford has won two of its last three without the services of leading scorer Kelsi Koenig. SavannahState is also looking to bounce back from a two-game losing streak.
UNF has never faced off with either NorfolkState or Wofford.

Quoting Coach Tappmeyer: “It is going to be nice to finally get our home tournament back. We have had a chance to get back on the floor after taking final exams and the team needs to remember that its holiday break doesn't begin until after the final game on Wednesday night. We have built a little momentum and believe we can get to .500 before Christmas.”
