UNF plays Rattlers in Tallahassee on Saturday
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida men's basketball team will open a five-game road swing that will carry the team through the end of the 2007 calendar year this weekend when it travels to in-state foe Florida A&M. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. on Saturday.
UNF returned to practice on Thursday after taking five days off to study for fall term final exams. The squad practiced Thursday and Friday off campus due to UNF Arena arena being set up in preparation for Friday graduation ceremonies.
The Ospreys have lost four straight but have been without key parts of their lineup for much of the season. Freshman Justin Cecil is back near 100 percent after battling a sprained ankle, and sophomore Stan Januska is nearing his return from a broken foot that was suffered during the preseason. In addition, freshman DeVon Jones missed a pair of games with a concussion suffered against Florida.
UNF and Florida A&M met for the first time last season, with the Rattlers winning 66-65 at UNF Arena. The Ospreys battled back from a 14-point deficit with four minutes to play last season but couldn't knock down a last-second jumper to cap the comeback.
