BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. - After a three-hour and 10-minute rain delay, it only took Matt Oxendine one pitch to put the Ospreys on the board as he led off the game with a solo home run to extend his career-long hitting streak to 12 games and lead North Florida to a 6-0 win over Gardner-Webb on Sunday afternoon. The Wellington, Fla. native also set the all-time record for most games played at UNF with 214 and finished 4-for-4 on the afternoon and had eight hits in the series.

Senior, Jacob Dixon (4-4) worked five scoreless innings, allowed just three hits, and struck out three batters to earn the win. Jared Incinelli did not allow a run through the final four innings and surrendered just one hit to earn his fourth save of the season.

Jon Ban (2-3) gave up six hits and four runs to take the loss for the Bulldogs. The sweep by the Ospreys was the first three-game sweep Gardner-Webb has suffered at home since 2003.

Brennan Grogan gave the Ospreys a 2-0 edge in the third with a sacrifice fly to left center field that scored Grant Rogers. Jonathan Hodach extended the Ospreys lead in the seventh with his fourth home run of the season - a solo shot over the wall in left center field. Oxendine followed with an RBI double down the left field line to plate Chad Knight.

Brandon Diaz provided an insurance run in the eighth inning with a run-scoring single to shallow right center to score Hodach.

UNF will return to Harmon Stadium on Thursday, May 11 against Bethune-Cookman. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
