Sydnei McCaskill joins the Osprey staff as an assistant coach after serving under the same position at Marshall during the 2022-23 season.

In her first season as an assistant for UNF, McCaskill helped the team to nine wins overall and three wins in conference play. She also assisted in developing Alexa Washington as an ASUN All-Freshman honoree, three-time ASUN Freshman of the Week selections and the single-game D-I record-breaker for most three-pointers made with 10 treys against Piedmont.

In her first and only season as an assistant coach for Marshall, she helped Thundering Herd to a 17-14 overall record, including a 9-9 record in conference play.

She has vast knowledge of the ASUN Conference, as she has five years of experience at Florida Gulf Coast either on staff or as a player. Her most recent stint with the Eagles was as their director of basketball operations and interim assistant coach from 2019-2022.

During the 2018-19 season, McCaskill was the video coordinator for FGCU, as she assisted coaches with scouting breakdowns and oversaw all video operations for the team.

In her four years as a coach at FGCU, she helped lead the team to four ASUN championships, four regular season titles, three NCAA tournament appearances, an NCAA tournament first round win and multiple top-25 wins.

As a player, McCaskill spent her first two seasons at Georgia before transferring to FGCU for her final two years of play, making 46 appearances with the Eagles. During her final two seasons, she helped the Eagles become WNIT runner-ups in 2015-16, followed by an NCAA tournament appearance in 2016-17.

She graduated from FGCU with her Bachelor's of Arts and Science in Communications.
