Shellie-Greenman-Headshot

Shellie Greenman

Shellie Greenman enters her first season as the Director of Basketball Operations and is no stranger to the sidelines as she brings more than 20 years of experience to the Ospreys.

"I'm extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to work with my long-time friend, Coach Gibbs, and to be part of the Osprey family," said Greenman. "Exciting times are definitely ahead and I look forward to doing my part in helping this program grow and win championships."

Most recently, Greenman was a program assistant at the University of Florida where she assisted the coaching staff in all areas including recruiting, planning and scouting.

Prior to her time with the Gators, she was just across town at Jacksonville University as an assistant coach from 2012-2013. While with JU, Greenman was responsible for the development of the perimeter players and worked with the 2013 ASUN Freshman of the Year Queen Alford

Before coming to Jacksonville, Greenman spent a year as the recruiting coordinator at Tennessee Tech. At the start of her career, Greenman worked as an assistant coach with Beth Dunkenberger for seven years at Virginia Tech. While with the Hokies, she helped recruit the 28th overall class in the country as well as two players who eventually went on to earn All-ACC honors.

Greenman also worked at Western Carolina under head coach Gary Peters for four years. She has also completed stints at Miami University (Ohio) and Tennessee-Chattanooga. Greenman has the impressive distinction of having recruited a player who was named the Conference Rookie of the Year at each of the three schools.

A graduate from Emory and Henry College with a bachelor's degree in health and physical education, Greenman then went on to earn her master's in 1990 at Virginia Tech. A four-year letterwinner in basketball at Emory and Henry, Greenman led her team to the ODAC Conference championship in 1988, as she was named to the All-Tournament team. The daughter of Bill and Joan Greenman, she originally hails from Blacksburg, Va.
