Carrie Driscoll currently serves as an athletic academic advisor in the Student-Athlete Center for Excellence, working directly with the men’s and women’s cross country, women’s tennis, men’s tennis, softball and cheerleading teams.
Driscoll has held a variety of roles and contributed to the department in a myriad of ways during her 14-year tenure at North Florida. Driscoll joined the UNF Athletics Department in 2011 as cheerleading coach, focusing on establishing school traditions and growing school spirit. After a four-year stint in that role, Driscoll transitioned to the Student-Athlete Center for Excellence as a study hall monitor. She also aided with a variety of events and groups including the Academic Advising Council, Graduation Reception Committee, the Ozzie’s, the Blue and Gray Bash and more.
In September of 2021, Driscoll moved into a full-time position as an athletic academic advisor, working with her currently assigned sports. During her tenure, Driscoll has generated get organized workshops, oversees the purchasing of textbooks and is on the UNF Conduct Board.
Driscoll’s work extends far past UNF as she also is an active member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals. She is an active board member of Hope Street Inc., a trust-based relational intervention organization to help those dealing with trauma.
A native of Elkins, West Virginia, Driscoll earned her bachelor’s of elementary education from Fairmont State College. Driscoll and her husband, Matthew, along with sons Chase and Paxton have called Jacksonville home for 14 years.
