Samantha Murray

Samanatha Murray joined North Florida as an assistant athletic trainer in July of 2022. Murray serves as the primary athletic trainer for baseball and cheerleading.

Murray most recently served in multiple positions in Boone, North Carolina, working with Appalachian State University and the Boone Bigfoots of the Textile League in collegiate summer ball. From 2020-22, Murray worked as the primary athletic trainer for the Appalachian State softball program, while also working as the head athletic trainer with App State Camp Services.

The Nease HS graduate is very familiar with the Sunshine State and Northeast Florida, possessing her bachelor’s of science in health science from the University South Florida and her master’s of science in athletic training from the University of North Florida.

As a graduate student at UNF, Murray worked as an athletic training student with Jacksonville University from January 2019 to March 2020, aiding with the baseball, softball and football teams. Prior to that she was a summer intern with the Jacksonville Jaguars. She also worked at the high school level, doing a clinical rotation with Creekside High School.

Murray is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Southeast Athletic Trainers’ Association and Athletic Trainers’ Association of Florida. She possesses athletic trainer certifications for North Carolina and Florida.
