Family Physician | Sports Medicine Specialist Kristina F. DeMatas, D.O. is a Family Physician and Sports Medicine Specialist with Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from A.T. Still University and completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Mayo Clinic Florida. Dr. DeMatas focuses on the care and prevention of sports injuries, concussion management, nutrition, and wellness, and has expertise in treating athletes from endurance runners to team-sport participants. She is board-certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine and actively involved in professional organizations dedicated to advancing sports medicine and patient care. |
![]() Dr. Matthew M. Crowe, M.D. Orthopedic Surgeon | Sports Medicine Specialist Matthew M. Crowe, M.D. is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist with Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. He provides expert care for a wide range of athletic and musculoskeletal conditions, with particular focus on hip and shoulder arthroscopy, ACL and knee ligament injuries, and advanced joint reconstruction techniques. Dr. Crowe earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine, completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, and trained in orthopedic sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. A former collegiate athlete and NCAA All-American swimmer, he combines high-level sports experience with advanced surgical expertise to help patients return to the activities they love. |
