Katie DeLost joined the North Florida athletics department in November as an assistant athletic trainer. DeLost will work primarily with the indoor and beach volleyball programs.

DeLost comes to UNF after serving as an assistant athletic trainer with the University of Akron for nearly three years. With the Zips, DeLost worked with the volleyball and swimming and diving programs. 

Prior to that she earned over a year of experience with Georgia Tech, working with football and cheerleading. During that internship she also had athletic training duties with the NCAA Women's Tennis Regionals, ACC Softball Championship and Men's ITA Regionals.

DeLost earned her MS in health and human movement from Utah State in May of 2017. During her time in Logan, Utah, DeLost worked with the Aggies Football and women's tennis programs. She got her start in the industry at the University of Alabama as an athletic training student, working with a number of teams including women's basketball, women's rowing, football and gymnastics.
