Claire Darnell joins North Florida in August of 2022 and assumes the daily duties in assisting the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field programs. 

Darnell recently earned her master’s of science in athletic training from Indiana University in May of 2022. During her time in Bloomington, Darnell garnered experience working with the women’s volleyball, men’s soccer and football teams. There she created rehabilitation plans, assisting in generating other programs and aided with post-op rehabilitation. She also had stints with Edgewood High School and ROTC, providing athletic training care. 

Prior to her time in Indiana, Darnell competed for the cross country and track and field teams at Southern Illinois University, earning 2017 Missouri Valley Scholar-Athlete Team recognition for the Salukis. She would go on to earn her bachelor’s degree in exercise science with SIU.
