Jackie Reese

No stranger to the University of North Florida softball program, Jackie Reese begins her first season as an Osprey assistant coach in 2014. A former member of the Ospreys’ program, Reese will assist with UNF’s catchers and hitters as well as help with recruiting and camp coordination.

Reese was a standout catcher for the Ospreys 2010-13, making 207 starts and 212 appearances for the Ospreys. She finished her career as the program’s leader in chances (1,503) and putouts (1,325) and also ranked in the career top-10 for fielding percentage, (.985), stolen base percentage (.818), at bats (569), home runs (16), walks (66), stolen bases (27), starts and games played.

Prior to joining North Florida’s staff, Reese was a member of Enköping Softball Base in Sweden where she played and helped coach. Reese had the opportunity to help coach the Swedish National Team in the European Championships held July 7-13, 2013 in Prague, Czech Republic.

Reese graduated from UNF with her bachelor of science degree in exercise science in 2012. She is currently pursuing her master degree in educational leadership with an emphasis in athletic administration.
