Jacob Davidson

Jacob Davidson was named the assistant coach for the North Florida men’s golf team in January of 2013.

Davidson returned to his alma mater after serving a year and a half stint as an assistant coach at Mercer University.

While at Mercer, Davidson assisted coach Steve Bradley in building the Bears into a regional contender including coaching UM’s James Beale to an appearance in the 2012 NCAA Regionals.

A 2011 graduate of UNF with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing, Davidson played in 14 collegiate tournaments during his playing career. As a senior, Davidson made the travel squad for 10 events including the 2011 NCAA Regional. He recorded several top 30 individual finishes and had a personal best finish of T-22nd at the SunTrust Gator Invitational in his final season. For his career, he boasted a 76.60 stroke average over 48 rounds and posted a pair of rounds under par including a career best 68 in the Schenkel Invitational.

Off the course, Davidson garnered four ASun All-Academic honors and also helped found the FCA Chapter at UNF and served as the group's first president.
