• Underwent offseason shoulder surgery and reaggravated the injury during preseason practice, forcing him to miss the team’s first two games
• Saw action in four games before being tackled on a hard foul by Savannah State’s Raye Bailey, resulting in a torn hand ligament and bruised hip during the game on Nov. 27 that kept him out the rest of the season
• Tallied four steals in first game of the season against Concordia in just five minutes of action (Gibson led the team in steals last season and ranked eighth in the A-Sun in steals as a reserve before his injury)
• Started consecutive games against Charleston Southern and Savannah State
