Gossett, Erickson Lead Ospreys In Opening Round Of Bryan Bros Collegiate

WEST COLUMBIA, S.C. – Freshman Luke Gossett and senior Danny Erickson sit in the top 50 on the individual leaderboard after 36 holes for University of North Florida Men's Golf at the Bryan Bros Collegiate.
Eight of the 16 competing teams had their rounds cut short due to darkness amid holes 13-18 in Round 2. North Florida was able to complete all 36 holes and sits 12th on the team leaderboard.
Gossett notched three birdies in his final eight holes to card an even-par score in Round 2. He sits 2-over and tied for 42nd on the individual leaderboard entering Round 3. Gossett tallied the third-most pars in the field with 27 through 36 holes.
Erickson also posted an even-par score in his final 18 holes, in addition to two birdies in his final eight holes of Round 2. The senior Osprey, Erickson, totaled five birdies in his initial 36 holes and sits tied for 45th on the individual leaderboard ahead of Round 3.
Sophomore Luke Balaskiewicz got off to a solid start in Round 1, carding an even-par score through his initial eight holes. Balaskiewicz tallied two birdies in his final eight holes to finish with an even-par score through 18 holes.
Gossett, Erickson and freshmen Easton Oliva and Danny Wehle all notched five birdies through 36 holes.
