
Baseball Drops Tightly Contested Battle At Queens

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - North Florida Baseball fell in Game 2 of its road weekend series at Queens, 4-3, at The Stick at Williams Dream Fields on Saturday.
Redshirt junior utility player Boone Hosey led the way at the plate for North Florida. Hosey went 1-4 with three RBI and one home run. It marked Hosey's ninth home run of the season.
Redshirt junior utility player Jackson Toberman and redshirt freshman outfielder Sean Benjamin added a pair of multi-hit performances with 2-4 outings.
Hosey opened the scoring in the top of the third inning with a two-run opposite-field home run to give North Florida a 2-0 advantage.
Queens took a 3-2 lead with one run in the bottom of the third frame and two in the bottom of the fourth.
Hosey tied the game, 3-3, in the top of the eighth inning with an RBI fielder's choice to shortstop.
Queens plated one run in the bottom of the ninth frame to secure the win.
