JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida Baseball secured its 30th win of the season, defeating West Georgia, 4-1, at Harmon Stadium on Friday.

With the victory, North Florida has now secured a series win in all eight of its home series it hosted in 2026.

North Florida improved to 21-8 in Atlantic Sun Conference play, marking the most ASUN wins in a season for the Ospreys in program history.

Junior infielder Mathew Farner led the way at the plate for North Florida. Farner went 2-4 with three RBI and one home run. It marked his 11th home run and 14th multi-hit game this season.

Redshirt junior utility player Boone Hosey added a 1-3 outing with one run and one RBI.

Redshirt junior left-handed pitcher Dakota Stone displayed dominance on the mound. Stone dealt 6.0 innings and allowed just one run, two hits and two walks while notching four strikeouts. Stone improved his team-low ERA to 2.42 en route to earning his seventh win of the season (7-2).

Sophomore right-handed pitcher Trevor Nikolis and senior right-handed pitcher Brandon Adams were sensational out of the bullpen, throwing a combined 3.0 shutout innings allowing just one hit and one walk.

Farner opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning with a RBI single to left field.

West Georgia answered with its only run of the game in the top of the second frame.

Hosey tallied his 25th RBI this season with a RBI sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third inning to put North Florida ahead, 3-1.

Farner's 399-foot two-run homer went over the scoreboard in left-center field in the bottom of the third inning. Farner's 11th home run this season capped off a three-run third frame for North Florida, allowing the score to reach its eventual final margin.
