Humphries And Murphy Earn ASUN Pair Of The Week Honors

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No. 17-ranked North Florida Beach Volleyball pair of junior Cameron Humphries and senior Mackenzie Murphy earned ASUN Pair of the Week honors on Tuesday, April 14.

It marks a conference-best fourth time this season that North Florida has earned the weekly award. Murphy has earned the distinction twice this season as a part of two different pairs.

The pair of junior Cameron Humphries and senior Mackenzie Murphy swept all four of its matches at the one line, defeating ranked No. 15 Florida Atlantic and a pair of ASUN opponents in FGCU and Jacksonville, at the Capri Classic for North Florida. Humphries and Murphy defeated Stephen F. Austin, 21-11, 21-18, and posted a three-set win against No. 15 Florida Atlantic, 13-21, 21-18, 15-11. The duo recorded a 21-18, 20-22, 15-12 win against Florida Gulf Coast, who was receiving votes in the latest AVCA Poll, and added a 21-15, 21-17 win against crosstown rival Jacksonville.

North Florida heads to Stetson's The DeLand Cup on Friday and Saturday, April 17-18, at Cooper Beach Volleyball Complex in DeLand, Fla.
