CARROLLTON, Ga. – North Florida Baseball fell in its series finale at West Georgia, 7-2, at Cole Field on Sunday.

With victories on Friday and Saturday, it marked North Florida's fifth straight series win in ASUN Conference play. The Ospreys exit the weekend in first place in the ASUN Graphite Division with a 12-3 record in conference action.

Junior infielder Mitchell Collins belted a leadoff home run in the first at bat of the game to give North Florida 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Collins notched his 12th multi-hit game this season with a 2-5 outing.

West Georgia tied the game with one run in the bottom of the second frame.

Junior infielder Gialdri Gomez belted his second home run of the series and the fourth of the season in the top of the third inning to put North Florida ahead, 2-1. Gomez finished 2-3 in Game 3 at West Georgia. For the series, Gomez went 6-13 with five RBI and two home runs.

West Georgia responded with six runs over its next six at bats, bringing the score to its eventual final margin.
