JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida Baseball fell in its midweek game against Villanova, 4-0, at Harmon Stadium on Wednesday.

Redshirt sophomore outfielder Carter White turned in a quality performance at the plate for North Florida. Carter went 1-2 with two walks and now has a .295 batting average this season.

Junior outfielder Gialdri Gomez roped a double down the left field line in the bottom of the second inning. Gomez finished 1-4 on the night and tallied his fifth double of the season.

Freshman outfielder Dario Romeo delivered a pinch-hit leadoff double down the left field line to start the bottom of the ninth inning. It marked Romeo's first collegiate hit in just his second at bat of the season.

Sophomore right-handed pitcher Trevor Nikolis and senior left-handed pitcher Kai Etwaru each turned in 2.0 innings of scoreless work. Nikolis and Etwaru combined for four strikeouts with just one hit allowed.

Villanova scored one run in the first inning, two in the fifth and one in the ninth to bring the score to its eventual final.
