
Ponich Earns ASUN Pitcher Of The Week Honors

North Florida has earned both ASUN Pitcher of the Week honors through the initial two weeks of the season after sophomore Macie Hunolt collected the honor on Feb. 9. North Florida took home six ASUN Pitcher of the Week honors between four different pitchers in 2025.
Ponich finished the week with a 3-0 record and two complete-game shutouts in 13.0 innings pitched with 16 strikeouts, no runs, and only four hits and one walk allowed. She remains the only Osprey with a perfect 0.00 ERA on the season with a 4-0 record, 18 strikeouts, five hits and one walk allowed.
Ponich spun a perfect game through 6.1 innings against Iona and finished with nine strikeouts and no runs allowed in a one-hit complete-game shutout on Feb. 13.
She earned another win against Stony Brook with five strikeouts and three hits allowed in another shutout start on Feb. 14 and came back out against Stony Brook with two strikeouts in the eighth inning leaving the inherited ghost runner on base to garner her third win of the weekend on Feb. 15.
