Softball Drops Road Battle At No. 4/5 Florida

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -Â North Florida Softball fell on the road at No. 4/5 Florida, 7-3, at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium on Tuesday night.

In the bottom half of the second inning, Florida notched three runs to command an early 3-0 lead. The Gators would add to their lead with a pair of runs in the fifth inning.Â

The Ospreys responded with three runs of their own in the top of the sixth inning. Junior utility player Addie Keef opened the frame with a single before an RBI double off the bat of sophomore outfielder Grace Shaw put the Ospreys on the board.Â

Junior infielder Bella Cimino belted a two-run homer into right center to make the score 5-3. For Cimino, it marked her second homer of the season.Â
Â
Florida would tack on a pair of runs in the bottom half of the sixth inning to reach the eventual final.
