
Baseball Falls In Midweek Matchup With Charleston Southern

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida Baseball fell in its first midweek game of the season to Charleston Southern, 12-4, at Harmon Stadium on Tuesday night.
Junior infielder Mathew Farner belted his third home run in the last two games. Farner went 1-2 with two runs, one RBI and one walk.
Redshirt junior utility player Boone Hosey notched a 1-3 performance at the plate with one run and one RBI. Freshman infielder Drew Buchanan recorded a pinch-hit RBI single to center field for his first hit and RBI at North Florida.
Freshman right-handed pitcher Devin Diggs made his first career appearance for North Florida and posted four strikeouts and one walk without allowing a hit or an earned run in three innings.
Charleston Southern scored one run in the first inning, two in the second, eight in the third and one in the sixth to ultimately bring the score to its final margin.
