
Baseball Falls In Game 1 To Sacred Heart

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida Baseball fell in its Opening Day matchup against Sacred Heart, 7-2, on Friday evening at Harmon Stadium.
Redshirt junior utility player Jackson Toberman plated North Florida's first run of the season via a balk, tying the score, 1-1, in the bottom of the second inning. Sacred Heart responded with three runs in the top of the third to gain a 4-1 advantage.
Looking to answer in the fourth, junior outfielder Gialdri Gomez notched his first RBI as an Osprey with a single to right to cut Sacred Heart's lead to 4-2.
Sacred Heart went on to score three runs in the final five innings, bringing the margin to its eventual final.
