
Neto, Natoli Earn ASUN Conference Weekly Honors

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Men's Soccer sophomore forward Geraldo Neto and redshirt junior goalkeeper Luciano Natoli earned ASUN Conference Weekly honors on Monday.Â
Neto was named ASUN Player of the Week and Natoli collected his second consecutive Goalkeeper of the Week nod. It marked the third time this season that Natoli has earned the honor after he earned the distinction on Aug. 25 and Sept. 22.Â

Neto netted his first-career hat trick in the win over Trinity College of Jacksonville on Sept. 23. Neto has now scored four goals this season. He started in North Florida's shutout win at Jacksonville in its ASUN Opener on Sept. 27.

Natoli notched five saves and his fifth shutout of the season and ninth of his career in 90 minutes in goal in the shutout win at Jacksonville on Sept. 27. The five shutouts for Natoli marks a single-season career high. It marked the third match this season with five or more saves for Natoli.Â

With the victories, North Florida has won six-straight matches, which ties the program's longest unbeaten streak of the Division I era. The six-straight wins are the most in the program's Division I era.

North Florida continues conference action when it hosts FGCU on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Hodges Stadium at 7 p.m. on ESPN+.
