Women's Golf Finishes Out Weekend at Lady Paladin Invitational

GREENVILLE, S.C. - North Florida women's golf finished out its final round in the Lady Paladin Invitational hosted by Furman on Sunday afternoon.

The Ospreys were led by redshirt junior Kaitlyn Schroeder in the final round, as well as in the tournament. She scored 14 pars and a birdie over her last 15 holes to card 1-over 73 on the day and place 41st overall in the tournament.

ROUND REFLECTIONS

  • Schroeder completed her second straight tournament leading the Ospreys with a 7-over 223 score.
  • She held a share of ninth in the field for pars with 37 total over the 54 holes of play.
  • Brianna Castaldi earned four birdies over her last 10 holes to go 2-over 74 on the day.
  • Mohea Mansbendel finished sixth in par-three scoring average at even-par (3.00) to place just outside the top 50 with Castaldi.
  • Braydn Smith added three more birdies to her weekend total, while Ava Cottis wrapped up her debut in the Ospreys' starting lineup.
  • Ines Izuzquiza Ruiz de Arana sunk three birdies, including back-to-back to be 9-over 225 on the weekend as an unattached individual in her collegiate debut.
  • Both Castaldi and Izuzquiza Ruiz de Arana were the team leaders over the weekend in birdies with nine total.
  • The Ospreys were among the top-eight teams in scoring average on par-five holes with a 5-under mark (4.92).
  • UNF also was top eight in pars with 165 total, while also notching 31 total birdies.
