
Women's Golf Posts Impressive Finishes To Close Out Valspar Augusta Invitational

AUGUSTA, Ga. – North Florida Women's Golf closed out action with impressive performances at the Valspar Augusta Invitational, hosted by Augusta, on Sunday.Â

Competing as an individual, sophomore Braydn Smith posted her career-best finish at even-par 216 to place tied for eighth overall. On Saturday, Smith turned in a 1-under 71 in round two for her best 18-hole score in addition to a career-best 36-hole score of 1-under 143. Â

Graduate student Helen Zhou carded four birdies and the best 18-hole score at 1-over 73 for North Florida on Sunday. North Florida moved up a spot to tie for ninth on the final team leaderboard.Â

In addition to Smith's individual card, three Ospreys turned in top-50 finishes on the leaderboard. Redshirt junior Kaitlyn Schroeder posted a 1-over 217 to finish 13th overall, while freshman Ava Cottis turned in a 7-over 223 to tie for 31st.

Junior Brianna Castaldi notched a 11-over 227 to finish tied for 44th.
