Mansbendel, Schroeder Lead Way In Opening Round At Evie Odom Invitational

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.  – North Florida Women's Golf opened action at the Evie Odom Invitational with impressive performances from junior Mohea Mansbendel and redshirt junior Kaitlyn Schroeder in the first round at Princess Anne Country Club on Thursday.
Mansbendel and Schroeder stand within the top-10 leaderboard for North Florida after the initial round. The Ospreys had their top three players – Mansbendel, Schroeder and junior Brianna Castaldi – combine for six birdies with all three finishing within the top-24 overall.

ROUND REFLECTIONS
- Mansbendel started the day with seven straight pars and a birdie on the eighth hole.
- Schroeder tallied seven pars and one birdie on the front nine.
- Mansbendel notched one birdie on the front nine and another on the back nine to start off at even par heading into Friday.
- Schroeder started the day with a birdie on the seventh hole and finished with another birdie on the 18th hole to finish just behind Mansbendel at 1-over 71.
- Both Schroeder and Mansbendel finished inside the top 10 after the first round.
