CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - North Florida women's golf earned selections from Kaitlyn Schroeder, Kaitlynn Washburn, Helen Zhou and Braydn Smith onto the 2024-25 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars Team, as released by the organization on Monday afternoon.
It's the ninth consecutive season that the Ospreys have be awarded four or more honors for the WGCA All-American Scholars Team, as well as at least one selection in 12 of the last 13 seasons. Four of the seven active players from this past season received the honor to have over 50% of the team holding the national recognition.
Schroeder and Smith are first-time winners for UNF, while Washburn and Zhou make their way back as multi-honorees of All-American scholar distinction. This is the second straight season for Zhou earning a spot on the team, while Washburn becomes the sixth Osprey to be tabbed to the team at least four times, joining Teresa Conroy, Sydney Shrader, Mindy Herrick, Daniela Gonzalez and Christin Eisenbeiss.
Each of the four players selected by the WGCA were major contributors to the program's success during competition in the 2024-25 season. UNF has shown academic success year-in and year-out, as the entire seven-player team was selected to the ASUN Honor Roll earlier this summer.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
To be selected per the WGCA, a student-athlete must:
