
North Florida Athletics Earns Highest Finish In Learfield Directors’ Cup

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Athletics earned its highest Division I era finish and paced all Atlantic Sun Conference institutions in the 2024-25 Learfield Directors' Cup competition.
North Florida placed 114th out of 303 Division I institutions and sixth out of 13 in the state of Florida, behind only Florida (7), Florida State (28), Miami (Fla.) (55), South Florida (78) and UCF (83). North Florida posted the top finish and aggregate score in the conference and ranked 43 spots ahead of the next closest member.
It is the highest in Division I program history and eclipsed a 119th place finish in 2020-21.
The annual Learfield Directors' Cup was developed with a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's NCAA Championship finish in up to 20 sports – 10 for each men's and women's.
North Florida placed four sports – beach volleyball (9), softball (17), men's soccer (33), women's track and field (43) – within the top 50 nationally behind three NCAA Tournament berths and a pair of women's track and field All-American performances from senior Smilla Kolbe.
