JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida Athletics announced the establishment of the Driscoll Family Endowed Scholarship to honor the contributions and accomplishments of Matthew Driscoll and his family. 
 
"The Driscoll Family Endowed Scholarship represents a lasting tribute to Coach Matthew Driscoll and his wife Carrie," Director of Athletics Nick Morrow said. "Their legacy at North Florida was defined by servant leadership and a genuine care for others. This scholarship will carry their impact forward for generations, ensuring their legacy lives on, while providing future Ospreys the opportunity to pursue excellence in the classroom, in competition and in life with the same heart and passion that the Driscoll family had every day."
 
A three-time ASUN Conference Coach of the Year, Driscoll is the winningest head coach in program and conference history. The longest-tenured head coach in program history, Driscoll led North Florida to four ASUN Conference Championships and earned a berth to the conference tournament in each season of his tenure. He coached the program to its first-ever national postseason appearances at the 2015 NCAA Tournament and 2016 National Invitational Tournament. 
 
Driscoll developed 19 ASUN All-Conference selections, which included two-time ASUN Player of the Year and a two-time AP All-American Dallas Moore. In addition to seven NABC All-District Team honorees, Driscoll was named 2014-15 NABC District 3 Coach of the Year. He led the program to all its seasons of 20 or more wins with a program-record 23 wins in 2015-16.  
 
Carrie, who served on the Student-Athlete Center for Excellence staff, and Matthew Driscoll positively impacted countless lives at North Florida and within the Jacksonville community. Under Driscoll's leadership, North Florida graduated every student-athlete that exhausted eligibility.
