JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida men's basketball head coach Bobby Kennen announced the staff addition of assistant coach David Aucremann on Tuesday.

"We are extremely excited to add North Florida alum and former student assistant coach David Aucremann to our staff," Kennen said. "He walked into the program as a 17-year-old with a heart to serve, willingness to learn and an unwavering work ethic. He consistently demonstrated the ability to help elevate the program in any and every way possible. He gained valuable experience and perspective while serving on Paul Mills' staff at Wichita State. David leads with love, is intellectually curious and passionately driven. He will positively impact our program in innumerable ways."

In addition to his bench role, Aucremann will assist in player development, video coordination and operational responsibilities. Aucremann returns for his second stint at North Florida after he served in a head student manager role in 2018-21 before he was elevated to a graduate assistant in 2021-23.

Aucremann was most recently a graduate assistant at Wichita State in 2023-25. With the Shockers, Aucremann worked with the staff to prepare video scouting reports, implement practice plans, in addition to other pre-game, post-game and in-season responsibilities.

Aucremann is a two-time graduate at North Florida with a bachelor's degree in sports management and a master's degree in athletic administration.
